Using only natural biomass as fuel (twigs, pinecones, wood pellets), it employs thermal energy to drive a generator which powers an attached USB charger. Weighing in at just 2lbs, the CampStove uses 50% less wood, boils a liter of water in 4.5 minutes, and charges your iPhone to 60 minutes of talk-time in 20. The net result is a lightweight, sturdy heat and energy source that is far less expensive, and creates fewer pollutants (95% less wood smoke) than conventional methods.
With the goal of providing clean, cheap energy the world over, BioLite's brilliant design could help pioneer a new niche market, and the feedback has been great.
