about
Yes, Twillory is a startup. They started in 1892. Their history in manufacturing begins in Austria at the turn of the century with Emanuel Goldschmidt. The business was transplanted by Alfredo Goldschmidt to Argentina mid-century and finally to New York in 1980. Now it is Ricardo Goldschmidt, Twillory s president, who carries on his family heritage in textile design and apparel manufacturing. The company still crafts and produces millions of garments yearly for clients worldwide. This extensive firsthand experience has made Twillory all too aware of the uncontested and unfair retail markup structure. They are positioned to offer an authentic alternative. Some call it disruptive, they simply call it Twillory. Twillory holds themselves to the highest standard. To ensure maximum quality control, a founding partner of the company has taken residence and runs their overseas office in close proximity to their factories. This ensures close monitoring of production practices as well as Twillory's ethical standards and environmental impact. This shirt making legacy and intensive efforts have given the founders behind Twillory a new calling; to enhance the customers’ experience in particular and the retail model overall.

Details: **Versatility is one of Twillory's main objectives; a shirt should look equally good tucked in and untucked.** Extra long staple yarn Egyptian/Sea Island cotton grants an exquisite hand-feel. Naturally crease-resistant two ply construction provides versatile elegance. Perfect tail length plus an eight button keeps you looking sharp from 9 to 9. GIVING BACK: Let’s face it – There are shirts in your closet you don’t wear, and while clothing drop boxes are nice, they’re not always so convenient. So Twillory figured they’d bring the drop box to you. In your Twillory package, a pre-paid mailer bag is included to make it easy. Replace the items you’ve purchased, with gently used garments from the back of your closet. Seal the bag and leave for your mail carrier. Twillory will inspect, launder and repackage your donated goods for distribution to those in need. By joining forces with a forward thinking charity, CareerGear, your re-purposed clothing will help the jobless, homeless and disaster stricken, both at home and abroad. Past seasons’ wardrobe can go a long way, because poverty knows no seasons. Cleaning your closet feels good. Filling someone else’s is great.
