There’s “fashion” and then there’s well-made menswear guided by the dual principles of design and function. We’re proud to report that Universal Works makes the latter. Founded in 2009 by a veteran of the apparel industry, the pieces in Universal Works collections take heavy inspiration from working-class heritage and underpin them with contemporary aesthetics. The N1 Sherpa Jacket is their take on the original 1940s deck jacket from the US Navy. Short, boxy, and lined with fleece, this thing is classic in every sense of the word.
