For over 180 years, the Woolrich name has stood for quality woolens and innovative American designs. In 1830, founder John Rich constructed the first woolen mill in Plum Run, Pennsylvania. From his mule cart, he sold his quality fabrics to loggers, miners, river men, and trappers. In the years since, eight generations of his family have lived and worked amidst the same rural landscape of north-central Pennsylvania, both two miles from where Rich erected that first mill. It is with this spirit of American innovation and steadfast commitment to beautiful, functional products that Woolrich has produced its first line of footwear. Every shoe and boot made is born of the desire to create products that honor the authenticity and heritage of the Woolrich name.
