Warm air then channels up between the walls of the stove. This burst of preheated oxygen feeding back into the firebox causes a secondary combustion for a hotter and more complete burn. Once the fire is at full burn, very little smoke (unburned material) escapes. By burning wood more efficiently, you’ll use less wood and have less ash to clean up.
